set adrift on memory bliss.........or so says PM Dawn
As I stand on the precipice of my 30's about to turn 31 next week when I can no longer stake any claim on being a carefree twenty something pretty young thing ..
oh no
I'm now feet firmly planted in my 30's,a mere matter of months away from being a wifey, and already assuming the duties and responsibilities..
You know, like paying bills, making cut lunches and saying things like "I'll talk to my other half and see what we're doing" before committing myself to any of the extra curricular activities I would have been clamouring to organise a few years ago
I am old and well maybe ...kind of grown up......*gasp*
How the fuck did this happen?
So I'm kinda on an oldschool tip, kicking back thinking about how I used to be and reminiscing with a goofy grin on all the drunken nights, staying up late telling stories, lying in the grass staring at the sky, dubbing tapes off the radio, sighing over guys from the sidelines of the b-ball court antics of yesteryear..
and it all seems so sparkly, fun and uncomplicated
Was it really like that or has age played havoc on the dusty recesses of my mind making it all seem better??
Since I don't own a tardis or a delorian *sigh* I can't zoom back to nineteen ninety whenever so I guess I won't find out...but I'll take comfort in the fact that if I could find a tardis or delorian available for purchase I at least have a shot of affording it unlike the sky gazing tape dubbing days I remember so fondly...
every cloud has a silver lining and all that aye?
Oh well back to being a grown up I guess...even if it did seem to arrive too soon
sayonara and ....In the words of cypress hill one of my alltime odskool faves.....
when the shit goes down you better be ready!

Lucidity
lu·cid /ˈlusɪd/ Show Spelled[loo-sid]
–adjective
1. easily understood; completely intelligible or comprehensible: a lucid explanation.
2. characterized by clear perception or understanding; rational or sane: a lucid moment in his madness.
3. shining or bright.
4. clear; pellucid; transparent.
It's a word that sounds pretty, rolls off the tongue easily,a delight to the ears in its tumbling rhythm.
If only lucidity was as easy to grasp as it is to say.
To be completely lucid is to be completely aware, conceptually, spatially, fantastically possed of knowledge of any given situation so as to understand it in it's entirety,to turn it upside down inside out and still remember how to put it back together.
Rarely possessed, sometimes glimpsed like a shooting star, streaking across night sky, dazzling all in its path and in an instant, gone.
treasure, hold close, learn from any insights you may gain in your journey through life, for they are fragments of lucidity.

Thanks Mr Webster!
Belief is a key theme in my life,so much so that I have a tattoo of the word believe
Without getting into a lot of detail or starting this blog off all melancholy and woe is me,
I've been through a lot..
Throughout a tough upbringing with many challenges to overcome, holding fast to my beliefs, having a vision and plan were even from a young age what got me through the darkness and into the sunshine I now enjoy.
but I'm not complaining, the scars of the past only remind me how beautiful today is .....
The embodiment of belief and my hero is none other than the most famous pixie of all...Tinkerbell!
Why?
Because without people believing in her she wouldn't exist..so the precocious pixie makes damn sure people believe!
Feisty, determined and armed with a generous sprinkling of Pixie dust and a firm conviction in the importance of believing, Tinkerbell achieves all she sets out to do,and captures people's hearts along the way.
Beliefs are important because they are the compass that guide our journey through life
They provide balance and equilibrium, remaining constant amid ever changing emotions, events and situations.
So whatever your dreams, hopes and aspirations are, always hold fast to your beliefs, they pave the way to your success...
If you want it to happen baby
Hold fast and believe
You can make it happen baby
You can be where u please
